From the artist, Dale Weiler: While I love sculpting trout, my main focus in this sculpture is the water dancing under the fish. I find water movement absolutely mesmerizing and magical. 

Brook trout are native to the Eastern US and Canada and only live in clean, cool water, free of pollution. Floods, droughts and overharvesting are the main threats to them.
