This piece holds a special place in my heart.
From the artist, Dale Weiler: I sculpted this piece as my best friend and mentor, David, was dying from cancer. Each day, I would call him to discuss my progress on the sculpture and get his input.
The day I completed the piece, I called him to let him know the good news, only to find out he had passed away that morning. Every time I look at the sculpture, I have fond memories of him.
