Sunshine & Smiles Kits

Champions for Wildlife’s Sunshine and Smiles Kits are specially designed care packages that bring joy, comfort, and a love for wildlife to children facing challenging times.

Each kit is packed with eco-friendly art supplies and animal-themed fun that sparks curiosity about nature and spreads kindness.

Sunshine and Smiles Kits brighten days, spark smiles, and remind kids that the power to connect with wildlife is in their hands.

Your sponsorship helps share hope, happiness, and a touch of wild wonder with children who need it most.

The Beginning…

What started as a simple act of kindness grew into a full-scale effort, and in the months following the hurricane, Champions for Wildlife was able to deliver over 500 Sunshine and Smiles Kits to schools and families affected by the storm with the help of multiple community partner organizations.

Today, these kits continue to spread smiles and a love for nature to children facing challenges, all while encouraging hope, healing, and a connection to the wild world around them.

The Impact...

During a Wild for Red Wolves class, a quiet girl lit up when she recognized us. “Are you the people who sent me the Red Wolf box?” she asked. From her backpack, she pulled two Red Wolf photos – ones she received in her Sunshine & Smiles Kit as a foster kid during the holidays.

She told us, “It was one of my favorite things I’ve ever gotten.”

This bright-eyed child with Red Wolf photos in her hands was one of the foster children we work with to make wildlife exploration and creative curiosity accessible.

Today, she carries those two Red Wolf photos with her so she can teach her friends about Red Wolves. With a simple kit and a spark of wonder, she’s not just learning about wildlife—she’s becoming its fiercest little defender.
