Wild for Turtles: Polk County Family Event
We are excited to host our next free family event, Wild for Turtles, July 10 at Tryon Depot from 10:00am-12:00pm! What native turtle species live here, how long have they roamed earth, and what can we do to preserve their special habitats? Kids and their families will learn all about this through a presentation by our wildlife educators and see live turtles brought to us by wildlife expert Pat Newton. Participants will get the chance to make turtle themed tinfoil art to take home with them!

Wild for Birds: Polk County Family Event
We are excited to host our next free family event, Wild for Birds, July 30 at Swiftwater Farms from 10:00am-12:00pm! Why are birds so important in nature, how do they live, and how can our actions affect these incredible creatures? Kids and their families will learn all about this through a special presentation by our wildlife educators. Participants will get the chance to take an outdoor nature walk (rain or shine!), and make their very own bird art to take home!
