Wondering About Wildlife Lookout?
What is Wildlife Lookout?
Think of Wildlife Lookout as a place where wildlife and creativity come together. It's designed to help kids discover amazing animals, explore the natural world, and create art inspired by what they learn. Whether they're drawing a Red Wolf, learning about turtles, or trying a wildlife challenge, kids are invited to explore, create, and build meaningful connections with wildlife along the way.
Who is Wildlife Lookout for?
Wildlife Lookout is designed for kids in grades K-6, along with the families, educators, homeschool groups, afterschool programs, libraries, camps, and community organizations that support them. Whether you're learning at home, in a classroom, at camp, or around the kitchen table, Wildlife Lookout offers opportunities to discover wildlife through creativity and exploration.
Why does Champions for Wildlife use art to teach about wildlife?
Because art helps wildlife feel personal. When kids draw an owl, paint a bear, create a habitat, or imagine life through the eyes of a wild animal, they're doing more than making art. They're paying attention, asking questions, and building a connection. We believe those moments matter because kids who care about wildlife will protect it.
What makes Wildlife Lookout different?
Wildlife Lookout combines wildlife learning and art in a way that encourages kids to explore, create, and connect. There are lots of places to learn facts about animals, but Wildlife Lookout invites kids to respond creatively to what they discover. Through art, storytelling, observation, and hands-on activities, wildlife becomes something kids can connect with in meaningful and memorable ways.
