From the artist, Dale Weiler: Black steatite is the perfect stone for a duck sculpture. And there is something very soothing about a wood duck nestled in oak leaves. At least that’s what the stone whispers to me.

And, one of the special things about American wood ducks, they generally produce 2 broods a year. Plus they have spectacular colors, making them some of the most beautiful ducks around town!
